Dolly Parton has put her West Hollywood home on the market for $1.395 million. The 1,091 square foot house which sits behind its own gate in a private mini-compound is said to be the childhood home of Natalie Wood and was quietly acquired by country queen April 2007 for $1.2 million. Listing details indicate the bantam bungalow was originally built in 1923 and is remarkably smal – it currently has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, hardwood floors, plantation shutters, and a skylight. The garage has also been converted into a private guest suite.
But, this house at 9060 Harland Ave. in the Norma Triangle neighborhood isn’t the only property Parton decided to sell.
She also wants to sell two other houses, both under a million dollars, in Danish-themed Solvang and in mountainous Idyllwild. Parton’s home in Idyllwild, in Southern California’s San Jacinto Mountains, has “been an artist’s retreat for the past two decades,” the listing says. It’s almost twice as big as the West Hollywood house, for less than half the price: $599,000. Other property, just a couple short blocks from the center of Solvang’s densely faux-timbered downtown, occupies a .27 acre corner parcel and includes three separate living spaces that the listing says “is not used as rental income but for private retreat.”
