Opera Only is the creation of Andrea Pivetta, an Italian designer who for over twenty years has worked with various companies and leaders in different sectors from mechanics to electronics, experimenting in innovative materials.
Within the field of sound, Andrea has always wanted to walk the original and unconventioanal streets, beginning with his Pivetta Opera One, a multi-channel amplifier that still amazes those that witness it today.
His latest creation, Opera Only is the product that absolutely differs from almost anything you can imagine in the field of amplifiers.
This extraordinary piece is base upon intuition and imagination, genious solution. Apart from the enormous power that the amplifier is able to develop and its huge proportions, Opera Only is fantastic and unique crossover between sopthisticated technology and art.
The huge size of this amplifier isn’t only the result of the technical requirements necessery to be able to provide 160,000 watts, but also comes from the desire to create something special and unique from the visual point of view.
This unquestionably gorgeous state of the Art Amp features: power input 230/400V 50/60 Hz 450 Amp(400V), six 30 kW triple-insulated toroidal transformers, 16 ceramic diodes 1600V/400A (tot 6400 Amp), 216 Kendeil aluminium electrolytic capacitors 6800uf 160 Volt, 2.112 high current bipolar transistors, 12 analog (RCA/XLR) inputs and six digital, 12 output channels, and 192 speakON connections. It’s capable of producing an awe-inspiring 120kW rms at 8 ohm class A, distortion: THD+N 0.002%, speaker impedance: down to 0.1 ohm, frequency range: 20 – 20.000 Hz (max 160kW – the specs show output configurations of 6 x 20.000W rms or 12 x 10.000W rms).
The sound really must be experienced in person. However, it is quite easy to imagine how the Opera Only sounds before being able to audition it: one look at the amplifier is all it takes “Purity and Power” exactly as you would imagine.
