Two Italian design firms joined forces to create an innovative 72m/236ft superyacht concept which push the boundaries of modern superyacht design. We’re talking about Tankoa Yachts of Genoa and Exclusiva Design of Rome and their motor yacht concept never been seen before. Called the Progetto Bolide, this concept is inspired by the artistic movement that represents the cutting edge of 20th-century Italian art: Futurism. A movement whose goal was to represent the dawn of a new era.
Based on a 72m hull, Progetto Bolide features a series of substantial innovations both in the exteriors and interiors. The approach to the design was conducted paying attention mainly to the feasibility and engineering.
The lines used for Bolide define a dynamic, fluid attitude, mindful of the key concepts of Futurism, meant as a desire to underline a status quo, to look elsewhere and to do so rapidly, with strength, courage and positivity.
This inspiration is evident in the yacht’s futuristic and innovative design: notably, her bow is designed featuring an ascending line with a very high tip, similar to that of a classic luxury sports car.
The lucky owner of this beauty will get to enjoy a massive suite, spread across two decks, with a drawing room, gym and spa, and a master bedroom featuring a skylight – just a small part of what this yacht has to offer.
Alongside her more obvious design innovations, Progetto Bolide also features a high-tech wine cellar that alters the temperature of the wine bottles based on the type of wine present, with its own integrated wi-fi system to make it easier to find the correct bottle.
The 72-meter motor yacht will be powered by twin CAT engines, thus enabling it to achieve 18 knots and cruise at 12.5 knots.
