An Italian town has printed and released its own Ducati banknotes, which are distributed to the most vulnerable.
Dozens of banknotes make them want to shop at local stores.
The small town in question is called Castellino del Biferno, and he printed his own Ducati notes in the midst of a pandemic of the Corona virus, which particularly hit the Apennines.

All this had an economic impact on this place of only 550 inhabitants, located in the south of Italy. The mayor, Enrico Fratangelo, explained this decision by saving the local economy, with only 4 stores still open.
The government of Rome initially approved €5,500 to the city to distribute food vouchers to residents. The local government added its own funds and introduced the Ducati banknotes, which were distributed to the families who needed it most as a solution.
Residents can spend the money at local stores, which will send the bills every two weeks to the city council and receive compensation in real money. According to the mayor, banknotes will also raise the level of local patriotism among citizens.
