On Monday 28th January in Miami Lamborghini celebrated its fiftieth anniversary by organizing a presentation of Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. Famous carmaker staged a parade that included 50 vehicles of this famous car brands.
To promote Aventador with open-top, Lamborghini chose sunny Florida, and presentation personally led CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.
“Production of Lamborghini model Aventador Roadster is the most exciting so far and I can not imagine a better location from Miami for its introduction,” said Winkelmann.
The event was held as part of the ten-day anniversary celebration of Lamborghini’s half of century since the first sports car produced. The presentation shows 12 copies Aventadora Roadster, and after the parade through the town, there was a test run five cars on the runway at Miami International Airport.
The Aventador Roadster has a manually retractable roof that is made of carbon fiber and weighs only 6 pounds. The model used the same V12 engine as the atmospheric Aventadora standard, which delivers 700 hp and 690 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a Stop / Start system, and the system to deactivate unnecessary cylinders, associated with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can do 0–60 mph in under three seconds and is capable of a top speed of 217 mph.
