Bjork Champagne Bottle Designed for Dom Perignon

From Earth to Heart

The Icelandic singer Bjork has a new title to add to her resume: Champagne bottle designer. She teamed up with British music video director Chris Cunningham to design a Champagne bottle for Dom Perignon’s Vintage 2006 release and accompanied gift box. Their creation is named ‘From Earth to Heart’, which acts as the “shining beacon of exuberant earthy green light” (aka laser) that can be folded out from the top of box.

Speaking of the flavour profile of the 2006 vintage, Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy, described a “generous aromatic ripeness”, adding: “It’s juicy and opulent, and sings of the uncharacteristically hot and sunny July and September months that year.”
But, not everyone is taken with the result of Björk’s design. Website asks whether Bjork is the worst champagne bottle designer of all time.
The bottle’s suggested retail price is $165.
