Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey – New Smoother And Sweeter Version Of Jack

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey

New for spring 2011, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey releases Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey. Made from a blend of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and a proprietary honey liqueur, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is one of the more exciting new entries in the whiskey space since Maker’s 46.

Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey is a smoother, sweeter version of Jack that is just 70-proof. The nose is sweet and spicy, with solid cinnamon notes and a light floral undertone. With the sweet notes, the manufacturer is clearly trying to pull more women into drinking Jack. As far as mixing goes, the company notes that Tennessee Honey’s flavor profile makes it a good addition to lemonade, ginger ale or iced tea.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey will hit store shelves in April 2011 and be available in all U.S. states. Price is about $22.00 for a 750 ml bottle.

If you like me love sweet, fruit-driven cocktails, I have found two interesting recipes for the upcoming summer:

Jack’s Tennessee Honey Tea

  • 1 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
  • 1/2 oz Cinnamon Schnapps
  • 1/2 oz Combier Triple Sec
  • 3 oz Black Tea (brew slightly stronger than to taste)
  • Combine all ingredients in a highball or Collins glass over ice. Stir gently, and garnish with a lemon twist.

Jack’s Honey Lemonade

  • 1 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey
  • 3/4 oz Tuaca (an orange flavored brandy)
  • 1 oz Sour Mix
  • 4 oz Sprite or Seven-Up
  • Combine all ingredients in a highball or Collins glass over ice. Stir gently, and garnish with a cherry.
