If you are looking for a new super yacht, look no further than the Sovereign Yacht by Gray Design. Eduard Gray, who founded Gray Design, had an aim to establish an enterprise which would be known for their bold design and out-of-the-box appeal. In case you are on the lookout for other examples of Gray Design’s work, do read through our piece on the Strand Craft 166 or Stand Craft 122 yachts, featuring a built-in garage in the stern. Also, for beaches there is the Standcraft limousine beach cruiser which had the designing mastery of Grey Designs.
As the name Sovereign suggests, the yacht comes with designing themes reminiscent of sovereign royals, especially with respect to its luxury features. Maintaining only three decks over the entire length of the motor yacht Sovereign gives her an extremely low profile by current standards and the echoes of automotive design are deafening. The yacht boasts of a retractable cover that keeps the yacht cool and lets you enjoy the Jacuzzi in complete privacy. The aft end sports an infinity pool that keeps water circulating around a reinforced glass helicopter pad.
Accommodation includes 10 guest suites apart from the opulent master suite with its list of exclusivities for the host. Other indoor amenities include the gymnasium, nightclub, cinema and library. The beach club on the lower deck of Sovereign maintains the rich detailing of the yacht whose centerpiece is the skylight that looks up through the floor of the helipad. It is also equipped with a full wet bar and has bathing platforms on each side that can be folded down for an extremely spacious relaxation area near the water. In case you would like to go for some water adventure, there are the custom made tender boats to come to your aid.
The Sovereign is a 100 meter long yacht, which uses eco friendly technology to power a lot of the important functions such as the lighting and temperature control. The roof top cover is actually a large solar panel which generates electricity for multiple uses like lighting. Also there is a windmill, which aids the process of storing electricity for future use, and is ideal if the winds are strong outside.
In true Gray Design style, the Sovereign yacht comes with the optional custom built limousine that parks in the garage alongside the seaborne tenders. This can be lifted onto land using the on-board cranes whenever an excursion in style is needed around the port area.
The credit for making this yacht move at speeds of up to 30 knots goes to the triple MTU engines, which provide the extra thrust to gain the speed. [Gray Design]
