Tweets as payment! No joke – Marc Jacobs launches a new pop-up store where the money isn’t acceptable and the only form of payment are social media tweets. During the upcoming Fall-Winter 2014 shows in the Big Apple, the New York City-based designer will open his Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop. Stunning 1,746-square-foot store is designed to be social media-friendly with features such as a comfortable lounge, food, drinks and Wi-Fi, Daisy-themed artwork by Langley Fox Hemingway and a live Daisy photo booth. DJ Jilly Hendrix will provide the music to accompany a product display of fragrance samples and Marc Jacobs fashion items and accessories.
You just have to post on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter that use the hashtag #MJDaisyChain, and the best instagram shots will apparently win a Marc Jacobs accessories. The shop’s launch will be accompanied by a new print campaign for Daisy, which follows the recently released TV spot directed by Sofia Coppola.
Daisy shop will be open starting Feb. 7 in SoHo at 462 West Broadway from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
