$2.8 million Swarovski crystals studded on Cruise Queen MSC Splendida

MSC Splendida is the second ship in MSC Cruises’ entirely new Fantasia class — the largest and most innovative ships ever built by the Italy-based line. Splendida launched in July 2009.

MSC Splendida

The ship has 18 decks and 1637 cabins, is 333 metres long and 67 metres wide. MSC Cruises has always been sensitive to environmental issues and MSC Splendida is at the cutting edge ecologically. It is equipped with the most innovative technological systems to guarantee savings in energy and protection of the environment, such as the water processing systems. All of this ensures that MSC Splendida may boast the title of ECO SHIP. The ship is being touted as the most beautiful cruise ship in the world and this claim is substantiated with each of the 72 steps in the reception area glittering with Swarovski crystals worth $40,000. That would make the entire staircase studded with crystals worth $2.8million in total!
