Corum Round Golden Bridge Watch
Corum has re-issued in limited edition its Round Golden Bridge. It was originally released in 1994, but that is a while ago in terms of modern watch design.
The new Corum Round Golden Bridge features the C0113 baguette-shaped mechanical movement, created by Corum exactly 30 years ago. Accommodating its 140 components housed within a space just 33 mm long, 3 mm high and less than 5 mm thick represents a remarkable feat, especially when one considers that this mechanical hand-wound caliber is equipped with a variable-inertia balance beating at a frequency of 4 Hertz and ensuring optimal reliability and precision.
The watch comes in an 18k red gold case that is round, but houses Corum’s famous Golden Bridge stick thin mechanical manually wound movement. The rest of the dial is black with vertical texturing, while the sloped flange ring is lined with triangular gold hour markers. The watch hands are stubby, but that is because of the movement. They can’t be too heavy, and that small movement can only take so much weight. That minute micro-engineered movement has a power reserve of 40 hours.
Corum’s Rounded Golden Bridge is matched to a black crocodile strap, and is limited to just 75 pieces.
