Michael Jackson’s home in Las Vegas, that he called “Wonderland” has been lingering on the market for years now with the price tag of $16,500,000. Although it doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been interest, a lavish 10-acre, 21,000 square-foot Mediterranean/contemporary property still awaits for a buyer.
Two years before his death, King of Pop had allegedly made plans to purchase the compound and dub it “Wonderland,” but his finances weren’t in order to buy at the time. The property at 7000 Tomiyasu Lane, owned by former casino mogul Gary Primm and his ex-wife, Caro, is nestled among the homes of casino owner Phil Ruffin, the Sultan of Brunei and entertainer Wayne Newton. According to the Las Vegas Sun and Realtor Zar Zanganeh, Jackson approached the Primms about leasing the home, an offer they turned down.
“He got so excited, the minute we drove through the gates here he got that feeling of Neverland,” said Zar Zanganeh, a Realtor with Fine Vegas Estates, during a tour of the home. “As soon as he stepped out of the car, he said, ‘Zar, I love this place. I’m calling it Wonderland.’”
This so much desired “Wonderland” is improved with five buildings and 50 total rooms. Secret tunnels, fences, bulletproof doors, buried phone lines, and a panic room are examples of the extreme safety precautions taken by the Primms.
