Fendi Casa has officially launched its 2014 collection at the Maison&Objet design fair in Paris. This new luxury home collection includes a collaboration with architect Thierry Lemaire and new pieces designed by Toan Nguyen. Sculptural side tables, cocooning sofas and elegant dark wooden surfaces are some of the magnificent pieces from the new collection. As the old collaborator Toan Nguyen has added a high-backed loveseat and a sofa to his contemporary Cocoon line, in addition to creating a low square coffee table with dipped legs and a round base.
Thierry Lemaire’s involvement in Fendi Casa collection includes eclectic and chic new range that consists the Star coffee table and the Artù chair and sofa. Taking clues from Fendi’s runway pieces, Lemaire has used luxurious fabrics such as fur to make cushions.
New colours featured in the collection are soft French blues and deep burgundies contrasting against greys, bronzes and quartzes. Textures are varied, ranging from an innovative two-tone cubed pattern that gives a 3D effect to metallic sheens. Ebony woods, marble table tops, ‘ruined’ jacquards, matte leathers and furs are some of the luxurious materials used for the stunning pieces.
