Era of eco-cars has certainly begun. The electric cars are still very expensive, and the necessary infrastructure is underdeveloped, but, on the market, soon, will be a new player, “AIRPod” mini car that is powered only by compressed air. The man behind the project is Guy Negre, who, in cooperation with the company Zero Pollution Motors and MDI with US license, might come to solutions for modern vehicles with zero emissions driven by compressed air.

This project has just received an investment of $ 5 Million to turn AIRPod into reality.
Price of AIRPod is around 10,000 US dollars (8,860 euros), and investment costs after purchase are minimal. The range is 125 miles, and the car can be refilled at any petrol pump with the help of air compressors. Pumping, only takes 5 minutes and costs $ 2 in the US, or 50 cents across Europe.

The speed is not its main attribute, and is around 43mph, which is more than enough for city driving.
Zero Pollution Motors is already building its first plant in Hawaii, and the first copies of the AIRPod could be delivered at the end of this year.
