We all know that aging wine is an art. Depending on the particular blend of vino, proper aging has the ability to drastically change a wine’s tasting notes, mouthfeel, and acidity. But, the French startup company is looking to change the way people drink wine, one glass at a time. At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, they officially unveiled the D-Vine connected sommelier – a machine that uses individual wine doses to serve the perfect glass of wine, in the perfect conditions to appreciate it – a system similar to Nestle’s Nespresso and US-based Keurig.

D-Vine requires owners use specially designed 10-centiliter capsules, which contain a particular wine of choice. Each capsule is aerated to give it the same properties as if it had spent three hours in a carafe. The machine can gently cool or warm the wine as needed. In just one minute, the wine is delivered in the glass at the right temperature.

The wine capsules have been selected by a wine expert and at the moment, around 30 French wines are available including some great vintages from Burgundy and Bordeaux.
Each capsule retails for between two and 16 euros ($2.20 to $17.60) and the machine itself costs 499 euros ($550).
