Italian yard Ferretti Group introduced its new Ferreti 920 model at the Cannes Yachting Festival last week. Developed in collaboration with Zuccon International Project, this fast planing yacht was built from a GRP hull and superstructure to RINA classification.
The Ferretti Yachts 920 has a dynamic, irrepressible profile, thanks to the same stylistic design features that have completely modernised the models launched in recent years and ensured their international success.

The first major new feature involves raising the height of the bow. As well as giving the yacht an imposing presence on the water, this has allowed the addition of a wide-body master suite on the main deck. The detailing on the gunwale, which also helps to emphasise the yacht’s ‘aggressive’ character, continues beyond the bulwark walkways, ‘cutting’ into the design of the windows in the master cabin.
The exterior spaces offer an impressive amount of space for relaxation as well as luxurious furnishings, both built-in and free-standing, the latter by the famous Italian company Roda, specialised in outdoor furniture. The space located forward, in particular, is the largest ever on a Ferretti Yachts vessel of this size.

The sun pad on the bridge house leads into a dinette fitted with two forward-facing sofas – divided by a passageway – and a pair of sofas with adjustable backrests along the bulwark. This creates a large lounge, complete with coffee tables, which can be protected and shaded by sun canopies upon request.
The cockpit will be made available in a choice of two layouts, with owners able to choose between a chaise longue or a sofa in this area. The flexible superyacht sundeck includes freestanding furniture and a choice of convertible Bimini options, from variable louvres to tinted glass.
Interior décor is reminiscent of the recently launched Ferretti 850 series — recessed ceiling light and panoramic windows will create the impression of a floating penthouse. Accommodation is for 8-10 guests with a choice of two lower-deck layouts, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to five people.

Power comes from a pair of MTU diesel engines — those who choose the most powerful twin 2,435hp set-up will be table to enjoy a sporty top speed of 30 knots. Other optional extras include zero-speed fins stabilisers or a Seakeeper stabilisation system.
The yard adds that the second Ferretti 920 is being built for the American market and will make its debut at the 2018 Yacht Miami Beach boat show, which the third model in the series will head to Asia as part of the yard’s bicentenary celebrations.
