A large collection of train and rail models belonging to the singer and songwriter Neil Young, reached a price of nearly $300,000 at the auction.
Apart from the model of the trains, auctioned cars and musical equipment were offered.
Young, who has been collecting rail models for decades, has offered more than 230 parts to the auction organized by Julianes Auction in Los Angeles.

On order colored locomotive “Commodore Vanderbilt 4-6-4” was sold for $10,000.
The singer told the media earlier that the big model of the railroad at his Californian ranch helped him to better connect with his son, Ben, suffering from cerebral palsy.
Several Young’s cars were also sold at the auction. 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark convertible 50th anniversary special edition, with a steering wheel hub saying “customized for Neil Young,” has reached the price of $300,000.

Among other items on the auction were found guitars, amplifiers and microphones.
A part of the income goes to the school Bridge in California, which Young founded together with his former wife, Pegi, and is intended for children with speech and physical disorders.
