Givenchy, the special guest of Pitti Uomo 2019, took the opportunity to reveal its new collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger. The result is a pair of special sneakers emblazoned with co-branding in monochrome hues.
Taking on the iconic Mexico 66 GDX, the sneaker will be available in two distinct flavours.

The ‘Triple Black’ pair features the tiger stripes outlined thick white strokes, complete with red detailing around the heel for a pop of contrast. On the other hand, the all-white pair boasts perforated “GIVENCHY” branding on the medial, emphasising the shoe’s collaborative nature. Both models are crafted in Japan and are made from premium leather.
This long-term collaboration marks the first time the House of Givenchy has ever partnered with an outside sneaker manufacturer on a global scale. It is also a first for the Japanese company, which has never before worked with a luxury fashion house.
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers hit Givenchy’s web store, the first-ever Line pop-up in Japan and both party’s flagship stores, retailing at $550 USD apiece.
