In 1968, Porsche made the racing model 909 Bergspyder, a light single-seater in the form of a speedster, and then in 2014 it prepared its modern interpretation, based on the 981 Boxster.
The 2014 version was named the Porsche Boxster Bergspyder, with the goal of making a radical and uncompromising lightweight sports car.

Boxster Bergspyder weighs only 1130 kg, while the drive is provided by a 3.8-liter boxer engine with 393 hp (weight/power ratio is 2.8 kg per hp). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just over 4 seconds, and the Nurburgring is crossed in 7 minutes and 30 seconds.
