During three-, four-, and five-night cruises out of Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Bahamas you can explore a pool, two restaurants, a section of its private beach, Castaway Cay… The highlights are: the first water coaster at sea, AquaDuck, will carry riders four stories up, then swing 13 feet over the side of the ship before gliding down 335 feet of rapids. Costa Favolosa

The Costa Favolosa is made in Italy and will carry 3,000 passengers and weighs in at 114,500 tons. For the price from $759 per person, double, for seven nights you`ll get eastern Mediterranean cruises out of Venice from July`s launch through October. 85 to 90 percent of its guests are European, so you’ll find later dinner service, nightlife lasting into the wee hours, and plenty of spaces where smoking is allowed. The highlights are: new toys appeal to both kids and grown-ups, golf and Grand Prix simulators, a PlayStation arcade, suites with whirlpool tubs, 4D cinema, a 23,000 square foot spa and a poolside cinema screen.

The Carnival Magic will carry 3,690-passenger and weighs in at 130,000 tons. For the price from $799 per person, double, for seven nights ship returns to Europe and will make a round trip from Barcelona, Spain. Depand of your time you can choose seven-, nine- and 12-day Mediterranean cruises out of Barcelona through November 2011 or seven-day Caribbean cruises out of Galveston, Texas after that. The reason why they call it magic can be what it offers: the WaterWorks aqua park, kid-friendly cabin styles (one that sleeps five and has two bathrooms), dizzying views of the water 45m below. The highlights are: a sports deck with a ropes course and outdoor weight-lifting, a Caribbean restaurant with a lengthy rum menu, flights of local beer, and Jamaican wings.

Celebrity Silhouette, July 23

The Celebrity Silhouette will carry 2,850 passengers and weighs in at 122,000 tons. Itineraries are twelve-night Holy Land cruises out of Rome from July through October, then 12-night cruises alternating between the eastern and southern Caribbean out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey for the price from $1,229 per person, double, for 12 nights. Crossing Hamburg to Rome, the ship will be the first to offer a grill-your-own-dinner facility to its customers, at the ship’s on-deck Lawn Club Grill restaurant. The highlights are: croquet and bocce on a real-live lawn, a glassblowing studio, a jazz club featuring performances by name musicians and a high-tech hideaway for guests and the line’s famous Celebrity iLounge, an Apple retail outlet at sea.
