Norwegian Cruise Line announced that Norwegian Epic, its most innovative Freestyle Cruising ship to date, will feature the largest spa facility and fitness center at sea, totaling more than 31,000 square feet. The ship’s luxurious Mandara Spa will feature 24 treatment rooms, two private couple’s villas, two exotic steam Rasul rooms, a DIY Scrub Experience, Hydrotherapy Courtyard & Thermal Suite, full-service salon, fitness center and barber shop.
Norwegian Epic also features 39 spa suites, deluxe balcony and balcony staterooms, and an added indulgence of in-room whirlpools in eight spa suites. The spa offers more than 50 treatments for men and women as well as kid-friendly spa services for children. The 24 treatment rooms also squeeze in two couples villas for massages and private, outdoor whirlpools.
When she debuts on June 24, 2010, Norwegian Epic will be Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest Freestyle Cruising ship ever. At 153,000 tons, this 19-deck cruising ship will be able to accommodate over 4,200 passengers and will have many never-before-at-sea features onboard.
Among the exciting features that will be available onboard Norwegian Epic are the Aqua Park, a real ice bar, a circus that performs in a big top, a casino that’s over 13,000-square feet, contemporary New Wave staterooms with open living spaces (including Studio staterooms and spa accommodations) and POSH.
Norwegian Epic will be doing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, sailing round trip from Miami, Florida. 14-night cruises, a combo of the two, will also be available.
