Crocodile Skin T-shirt form Hermes’ Spring 2013 runway collection

The Awl snapped a picture of its price tag since a store policy forbids taking photos of the clothes themselves, and wisely pointed out that the taxes on the sale of the shirt alone could amount to $8,000, bringing the grand total dangerously close to six figures. The entire shirt is just luxurious, beautifully sewn swaths of crocodile. I wonder if it’s comfortable considering its weight – a little heavy for a T-shirt? New York’s most expensive T-shirt made its debut last fall on the Spring 2013 runway as part of the label’s chiffon crocodile shirt line. All of the tops from the collection cost between $60,000 and $100,000.
