The 1957 Maserati 250S is one of the very few that were ever built and this model is the best of the 200S series. It is powered by a inline 6 engine with 230 Hp and has maximum speed of 161 mph.
The several cars was produced for such names as Jim Hall and Carroll Shelby, who were racing pioneers of that time. Beautiful 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster will be presented at California auction from August 1-3, 2013, at Auctions America. It was produced from 1954-1963 but still is breathtaking to every car lover. This outstanding, original 300SL Roadster was purchased new by actor Desi Arnaz and subsequently given to fellow actor Robert Stack as a celebratory gift for winning the Emmy Award for Best Actor in 1960.
The award was given for his performance as Elliot Ness in the acclaimed television series “The Untouchables,” produced by Desilu. Notably, the 300SL Roadster remained in Stack’s ownership until his passing in 2003 at which point it joined a prominent private collection. The car remains almost entirely original, still retaining the original hardtop and leather interior and is offered for public sale for the first time since 1960.
