Here is one more Guinness record. The most expensive handbag in the world is made by The House of Mouawad. The price is incredible $3.8 million. The honor to present this most expensive handbag in the world named 1001 Nights Diamond Purse is given to Fred and Pascal Mouawad, the co-guardians of the House of Mouawad.

The purse is inspired by the epic tale of romance and intrigue, and has been designed to attract attention to details and elaborate workmanship incorporating thousands of diamonds. The purse is made from 18 karat gold studded with 4517 diamonds. In all there are 105 yellow stones, 56 pink ones, and a whopping 4356 colorless jewels. This clutch is certainly no lightweight, it weighs an impressive 381.92 karats. Ten artisans worked on the clutch for around 8800 hours, under the watchful eye of designer Robert Mouawad.

The 1001 Nights Diamond Purse isn’t the House of Mouawad’s first record breaker. In 2003, House of Mouawad, in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret, made the The Very Sexy Fantasy Bra, the most expensive bra ever made worth $11 million. These people really know how to make extravagance.

The Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse will be on display at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition over the coming days, before being taken to Saudi Arabia and the UAE next week.
