Ralph Lauren’s Private Cars Collection
Famed fashion designer, Ralph Lauren is offering folks a chance to bid for this special tour of his cars which will also include a ride in one of the cars. The particular model will be determined by the bidder and Lauren. The winning bidder will also get an autographed copy of Speed, Style, and Beauty: Cars from the Ralph Lauren Collection.
Besides fashion, Mr. Lauren is also known for his passion for cars. His collection of cars is known to boast of multiple vintage Ferraris and Porsches. But the crown jewel of Ralph’s collection of cars definitely has to be the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic,; one of the two surviving Atlantics (only three were made) designed by Jean Bugatti, the son of Ettore, who founded the iconic marque. The other Atlantic sold this summer to an anonymous buyer for a reported $40 million.
The current bid for this personally guided tour of Lauren’s cars is $42,500 but it is expected to reach $150,000 by the time the bidding closes on October 21st. All proceeds will go towards the the Ralph Lauren Pink Pony Fund, Polo Ralph Lauren’s breast cancer-fighting charity organization.
