One-of-a-kind Breguet Reveil Musical Watch
Brequet has launched a new one-of-a-kind Reveil Musical watch, created specially for Only Watch 2011. This edition the musical timepiece comes after its 1st musical watch introduced last year.
This new Brequet watch is created in 18 karat white gold and measures 48mm width and 16.3 mm depth chassis. It has an automatic mechanical movement and musical notes engraved around the case. A patented music box-type mechanism enables this watch to play an equally unique tune, Castle in the sky, either on demand or at a pre-set time. The dial of the watch depicts a child whose hand is reaching out to an adult hand, a symbolic gesture of the inter-generational solidarity and support for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, according to Breguet. Its back side is engraved with the Piece Unique inscription.
Brequet Reveil Musical watch inwardly hides mechanical cal.0900 self-winding movement. The mechanism incorporates a silicon escape-wheel and a lever as well as a Breguet balance spring. The alarm status is displayed through a circular window on the dial, between the 9 and 10 ‘o’clock markings, and the power reserve through the blue window near the 3’o’clock marking. Adorned with 59 jewels, the caliber operates at a frequency of 4Hz and offers a 55-hour power reserve. It is water resistant to 30m.
