A cup of strong quality coffee can really wake up many senses. Ospina Dynasty Coffee from Ospina Coffee Co. does exactly that, because it is the cumulative achievement of five generations of coffee lovers and the product of a land so rich and lush that it is unmatched by any other place on Earth.
For the production of Ospina Dynasty Coffee are used the rare, scarce and unique Arabica Typica Coffee beans from Colombia. One pound of rosting of this classic coffee requires annual planting of five tress that are grown between 7,000 and 7,500 feet above sea level. They are grown by small family farms that join their efforts in fare trade cooperatives. These are not commercial farms; they are homestead farms, where the farmers and their families take special care of their produce, the forest and the environment.
The beans are stored in oak barrels for six months before handpicking, washing, fermenting and sun drying them. That oak barrels in the end give out an exuberant, jasmine like aroma. The nutty, velvety and full-bodied flavour reminds you of something that is more carnal and phallic in nature. Especially the nuts that hang below the shaft if you have ever tasted that cream. Now, you could also taste flavours of chestnut, caramel, chocolate, blackberry, and blueberry in the coffee.
The coffee is limited to just 100 pounds a year and now the company has decided to release the limited edition coffee to celebrate the 175th anniversary. This exclusive and rare coffee is available in 1, 2 and 5 pound bags ranging from $150 to $750 each.
