If you go on eBay, you can find a bunch of interesting things. But, would you pay $100,000 for Pokemon card? One seller is hoping that some fan will be delight to pick up the rarest Pikachu Illustrator Card with a Buy It Now price of $100,000. This card is one of just six in circulation in that it belongs to the Official Pokémon TCG Blog and was a prize in the Pokemon Card Game Illustration Contests, where fans submitted illustrations to be used on playable cards.
The rare card says ‘Illustrator’ at the top, rather than ‘Trainer’ – the only card to do so. There is also a unique pen symbol in the bottom right-hand corner.No English version were ever printed, and the card has previously sold for $20,000. It also has been graded at 9 mints by the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), making it in excellent condition and the “Holy Grail of Pokemon.”
The seller but expects to get about $50,000 for the card. According to eBay statistics, the item is viewed at a rate of 230 people per hour. At the time of writing, this auction already has 434 offers. The bid ends on 18 September.
