Bright Brick’s Duncan Titmarsh, the first Lego-certified professional in the UK has created the world’s largest LEGO snow globe, which is on display in London’s Covent Garden. Giant globe, glowing with LED lights displays detailed toy-brick re-creations of 14 famous London landmarks, including Big Ben, the London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Covent Garden Piazza and The Shard. It stands over eight feet and with a touch of a button magical of snowfall is happening before our eyes.
Titmarsh used 120,000 toy bricks and it took 75 days to make this magnificent creation. He made this creation in effort to beat last year’s ginormous Lego advent calendar, and the world’s tallest Lego Christmas tree – a nearly 40-foot-tall (displayed at St. Pancras station in 2011).
Those looking for a Christmas challenge are invited for a “Where’s Waldo” sort of experience. A small posse of Santa Claus minifigs are hidden throughout the globe, and visitors who spot the most figures are in with a chance to win LEGO goodies.
