Offering a complete sensory experience for gourmands, Mandarin Oriental Paris’s signature restaurant is where Thierry Marx blends the technical and emotional aspects of cooking with sight, sound and taste. With each dish he aims for a profound personal response. For this March, Michelin-star Chef, Thierry Marx has prepared a cosmic dining experience – a gastronomic version of the dishes eaten in space by French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, during his six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) which began in November 2016.

For the event, the restaurant will be given a makeover so it resembles an actual spaceship. Guests will enjoy a six-course menu that includes three dishes created for Pequet’s space sojourn. This unique menu including dishes such as; Lucullus’ ox tongue, Chicken supreme with morel mushrooms, and Apple gingerbread. The special menu will be priced at €230 per person (excluding drinks).
The menu aheres to strict health and safety rules developed by the French Food Innovation Centre, directed by Thierry Marx and chemist, Raphael Haumont in response to a request from the European Space Agency and Thomas Pesquet himself.
