We noticed a trend that is increasingly present in recent years, and which we liked: classic motorcycles with modern technological improvements. One of these is the creation of Cognito Moto workshops – XS650. Founded by brothers Devin and Nicholas Henriques, the Richmond, Virginia, the company is known for making parts that deliver to older motorcycles modern performance.
Accordingly, the ones sign some damn cool custom made machines, especially when they are in the process of developing new products. This Yamaha XS650 is their latest creation, but also the latest addition to our dream garage.
They found donor in their local community, and it’s been one unsuccessful chopper project. abandoned helicopter project. Almost three years later, they began to work on it.
Surgery on XS650 is one of the best we have ever seen. Starts from the front complete with Yamaha R6 forks and Brembo jaws with Suzuki GSX-R. Size of wheels is reduced to 17 inches, and the choice fell on the Warp 9 and front and rear.
Swingarm was extended and the rear brakes improved – converted from the drum to disk, with the new Brembo caliper.
The frame has remained the same – with the addition of the popular LED lights. Cognito has made a new headquarters, and a final work on it is signed by Workshop New Church Moto. Not to forget the new set of adjustable Fox Podium R shock absorber on the rear wheel.
The exhaust system is made of stainless steel to the end, with ‘Quiter-Core’ silencers signed by Cone Engineering.
As far as electronics, Cognito chose it from Motogadget catalog, and there’s a new headlamp – made to measure.
When it comes to graphics, in the workshop decided that it remains the same – traditional, so that the overall appearance is more impressive.
