That’s what exactly happened to the parents of two kids who had a nightmare when thair children smashed glass sculpture of a Disney Castle at the Shanghai Museum of Glass. Billed as the world’s largest glass castle sculpture, the work was made by Spanish glassblower, Miguel Arribas after 500 hours of work and features 30,000 pieces including 24-karat gold spires.

The accident took place as the children chased each other through the galleries, then had crossed through the belt barrier and bumped into the display and crash the castle. The main spire was broken and other sections suffered various degrees of damage – but the museum has not revealed the exact cost of the broken exhibit.
The parents of the children have since apologised and promised to take responsibility for the repairs. The museum personnel are hoping to get Arribas and his artists to come in and have the castle repaired, but they are unable to do so because of current coronavirus travel restrictions.
