Koolhaus Tap Ware – Superb Combination of Design and Functionality



Combining classy design with high-end technology, most of the modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures these days are designed for the utmost convenience of the users. Designed by Daniel Dobrogorsky, the Koolhaus Tap Ware allows users to measure and monitor the accumulative water volume dispensed by each bathroom appliance during the day.

Every appliance in the bathroom has its own flow rate device, which passes on the inflow water volume data to the Koolhaus. Then, the Koolhaus faucet displays water usage information on its convex LCD, and also routed to the user’s computer which makes it easier to keep a detailed log and review past water usage figures. Moreover, it features infrared on/off sensor that ensures protecting the last drop of water wastage by efficiently operating the water flow opening and closing.

At the first glance it’s just luxurious yacht with original design. But it’s not so simple. It’s undersea vehicle equipped with everything needed for luxury traveling. You can travel above waves and underneath by your wish. The U-101 is like something out of Bond film. It’s 66.5m long with an inside area measuring 700mq. There’s a sun lounging deck up top for when the weather is nice or if it gets choppy it can take a dive and you’ll have to make do with passing the time in the luxurious living quarters.

Splash Radiator from Runtal

These days, radiators have a dual functioning, to provide heat and also act as pieces of decor. Italian company Runtal is making a splashy statement with its hot new home wall hung radiator design appropriately dubbed the Splash Radiator. Runtal Splash is the first heating element created by Christian Ghion for Runtal. The innovative design of the heating Runtal Splash is a decorative front Corian and a natural graphite substructure expanded. The heating elements embedded in graphite layer, electrically powered, allowing a rapid and heat distribution uniform and a thermal output of 750 watts. The Slash radiator is adjusted by means of a device programmable control.

Aspiral Clock – Revolutionary Self-Spinning Timepiece

Aspiral Clock

The Aspiral Clock is a new type of clock developed by two London-based tinkerers, Will Aspinall and Neil Lambeth. The clock consists of spiral system that slowly rotates. A small ball is the indicator of time and as it reaches the center i.e. 12 o’clock, it falls through a hole and pops right back out at the beginning of the outer most ring.

The observer can tell the time by looking at the position of the ball. If it’s at the center point between 2 and 3, for instance, then it’s 2:30. The initial prototype was built out of beer cans and other scrap, and was a far cry from this polished product, which is hand built to order in London.

For the business man of today who loves luxury, Aznom has realized the incredible Carbon Business Collection Bags, a collection of travel bags that will make its world debut the Luxury & Yachts, the event dedicated to pure luxury that will be hosted at Veronafiere (Italy),  from 26 February to 1 March.

The design credit of this collection goes to the talented designers, Matteo Bertanelli and Michele di Monte. Made by skilled craftsmen and sewed with selected leathers, these classy bags have been made from hi-tech materials such as aeronautic carbon. All the products of Carbon Business line are made with thin carbon foil (4/10 of millimetre), which are made with a special mould in an autoclave with the same production process used for Formula One cars.

Earlier this year we showed you the design study – Lamborghini Ankonian by Slavche Tanevsky, a student at the university of Munich. Next to the Ankonian he also designed this hybrid Lamborghini and called it the Madura.

The concept car was created – in collaboration with Lamborghini and Audi designers – for Lamborghini’s Raw Materials Project, and is a proposal for the first hybrid Lamborghini that is scheduled for a 2016 launch. Keeping in line with Lambo’s naming heritage, this one also has a bull fighting connection, albeit an Indonesian one. Madura is an Indonesian island famous for bull races.
