Furious race for horsepower obviously is not slowing down, and among the latest examples of enormously strong cars is Shelby 1000 which the legendary US company premiered at the Las Vegas Car Show.
The four-digit number in the name of the car represents the number of horsepower that Shelby engineers “pushed” into the 5.2 liter V8 engine “borrowed” from the Shelby GT350.

For the final result, the engine was assisted by Whipple’s mechanical compressor, a new fuel injection system and a more powerful intercooler. A central control unit is also recalibrated, and a manual transmission is also improved.
A significant increase in power is accentuated by the new aerodynamic body components that are optimized for use on the track, and in support of this is a multi-adjustable suspension and a set of dedicated Brembo brakes.

The wheel track has been extended to both shafts, and on expanded 20-inch wheels, customers will be offered tires for the track.
And while the previous generation of Shelby 1000 could be purchased in the public road configuration, Shelby will offer the strongest option of this time only in a track option at a price of $203,190.
The first copies will arrive to their owners in the first quarter of the following year, and for the customers who want their Mustang to drive and out of the way, Shelby GT350 remains.
